I enjoyed reading the 1st book in the series. Although most of the characters are boys, girls would enjoy reading the adventures of the Traveler’s League also. And one of the Travelers that is chosen is a girl and breaks the tradition. There are interesting worlds that Hoops (the main character in this book) travels to and scary creatures that he battles. I am an adult who enjoys reading fantasy novels and I was intrigued by the book. I bought the book for my 6 year old grandson so his parents can read it to him. I am sure he will enjoy it like I did.
This book is also about friendship and doing the right thing, so life lessons can be learned too besides the battle between good and evil.
There will be more books in the series coming out so the adventures of the Traveler’s League will continue.

My oldest child said she is enjoying this book and thinks it is a great, She said it is very visually descriptive which she enjoys. She said it is creative and a great introduction to fantasy books. My 11 year old is my most reluctant reader. He finished it and quickly told me he can’t wait til the next book comes out. This is a HUGE compliment from him! My 8 year old reads a ton of books. She said it reminded her of the Septimus Heap book series. She finished the book very quickly. She really enjoyed reading about the different worlds in the book.

I ordered this book for my grandson and he read it within just a few days after receiving it. It is a great adventure book for kids. I recommend it highly!
